Demi Rasmussen

Demi Rasmussen began training in Permaculture in 2010 with an Earthworks course on Molokai with Geoff Lawton and continued in 2011 with a PDC in France with Rosemary Morrow and Alexia Gratelle. Long before, her work in permaculture began at her family home in North Carolina, where she lived and ate from her yard and neighborhood – pecans, corn, peanuts, grapes, tomatoes, onions, peaches, pears, venison, fish, fresh pork and chicken, game, apples, berries, green beans, potatoes, flowers, cucumbers, peas, and some big compost piles. Practicing edible landscaping as a Navy wife grew out of that experience and led to an MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute. She is interested in ecological standards of value as a basis for currency valuation and creating a permaculture plan for Bainbridge Island.
